Getting a Married License in Mandaue City

My fiance and I is planning to get a civil wedding next month. We currently live in Mandaue City here in Cebu. List of requirements is available at the Civil Registrar's Office, as stated below. This is also where you should file your marriage license when all the documents are completed.

I was the one instructed to get the Barangay Certificate for Marriage since I am registered voter of Mandaue. I live in Paknaan, so I got my Barangay Certificate there paying PHP 50.00.

My fiance on the other hand required to get a parent's advice since he is 23 years old. Since my fiance's parents are living in Tacloban, the parent's advice certificate was filed there with both parents to sign the certificate. No payment required. One valid ID of both parents should also be attached.

Certificate of Seminar is conducted in their CSWD office but first you have to pay PHP30.00 in their City Health Office then you have your preferred schedule. The seminar is held every thursday 8am-12nn. The certificate will be released after the seminar.

When you have completed all the requirements, you can now directly go to the Civil Registrar's Office (they have no noon break), file your marriage license, pay the PHP 80.00 processing fee and then wait for 10 working days for posting. Marriage license will be available for claiming on the 11th day. Please take note that the couple should file the marriage license since you both need to sign the application in front of their officer in charge.

      Hope this helps. Congratulations!

  2. Hello, apology for the late response. I was the one who took the barangay certificate in Paknaan. Only one certificate is required for the couple and whoever is the resident of the said city will be the one to file for one.
